The Mayan Riviera or Riviera Maya, is located in the north-east cost of the Yucatan Peninsula. This world-renowned paradise. Begins at 32 km south of Cancun, in Puerto Morelos, it extends down to Punta Allen, a fishing village within the Sian Ka’an Reserve.It includes places like Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras, Akumal and Tulum. From the Cancun Airport you can rent a car or jeep to move around (see Cancun Flights). There is also great Cancun Hotels and private cab service who make transfers as part of their Mexico vacation packages. The bus to Playa del Carmen departs every hour from 10:30 am to 9:30 pm.
